Cansford is delighted to welcome James Nutt as its newly appointed Laboratory Operations Manager.
James joins from the University of South Wales, where he was a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science, Toxicology and Separation Science.
The move marks James’ return to Cansford. As part of the original start-up team, he helped to introduce the pioneering techniques that enabled Cansford to offer market-leading turnaround times. Prior to this he was a Reporting Scientist with Tricho-Tech and Concateno.
As Laboratory Operations Manager, James is now responsible for the integrity and quality of work carried out in the laboratory, as well as overseeing the day-to-day laboratory team and operations.
He comments,
John (Wicks) and Lolita (Tsanaclis) have being testing in hair in drugs for over 20 years and have an international reputation as the leaders in this field. The techniques developed at Cansford are widely mimicked by others, but never bettered. We turnaround most results within 48 hours and are continually innovating by looking for better ways of testing and reporting.
So as a scientist, Cansford’s an exciting place to be!
James is a member of the Society of Hair Testing (SOHT), The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT), the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC), London Toxicology Group (LTG), together with being a Board member of the European Workplace Drug Testing Society (EWDTS).
The newly created position is a result of Cansford’s continued expansion serving a growing number of family law, social service, government and workplace clients.
